The Proxy Manifesto by 11thDimensionPhoto The Proxy Manifesto by 11thDimensionPhoto
I don't know if I've ever mentioned how cool it is having one of the most photogenic waterfalls in the world just an hours drive down the road. :D

Proxy Falls-150 feet
Three Sisters Wilderness
Willamette National Forest
Lane County, Oregon

18mm
f16
2.5 second shutter
100 ISO
ND4

Thanks for supporting my work!! :)

This is really stunning. Two of my favorite things, moss and waterfalls. My favorite color, green. The really beautiful curving line of the tree across the image. And then the water, it's like...hair or something. It's so lovely! Really great capture. Makes me miss Oregon SO MUCH!

Thank you very much, Lauren!! One of my favorite compliments is when people from Oregon let me know that I am doing a good job of capturing the beauty of the state. Much appreciated.

My favorite color is green, as well. I was staring in amazement at how green the forests are here when I first started getting out to take photos. Oregon!!

I'm jealous....you go and hour down the road here...in ANY direction, and it's cornfields...cornfields, and more cornfields. An occasional beanfield, and did i mention cornfields?

Thank you!! You have a nice gallery! I did notice that you were using a point & shoot camera. The best advice I can give you is to one day get your hands on a SLR camera. The ability to control all of your settings is the only way to go. It gives you the ability to make your photos appear just as you want them to. Until then, keep on practicing with the camera that you have. Work on your eye for composition. Getting some processing programs is a good start too. There are lots of free ones out there. Download a couple & have fun playing with your photos. Good luck to you!! :)

I do have a wide angle. More of an all in one lens. I would really like to get something around the 10-22mm or 17-40mm range. One of these days.

Thanks, Dennis!!

Nope--sure haven't...not lately anyway...annnnd you probably shouldn't :slap:

I think you're one lucky dude to have that right down the road--and have it not frozen solid (It might be, I don't know for sure ) A wonderful view and it's good to see some flowing water and bright greens in this dull winter of discontent :w00t: Nice work, amigo!
