So, I finally got through answering all of my messages from my Daily Deviation. For those followers of mine who did not know. Here is the shot of mine that was awarded a DD.
I would like to thank all of my long time friends for their support over these three years that I have shown my work here. Thank you to all of those new people who will be viewing my work too. I can't wait to get to know all of you.
This 82 foot fall is located on the Eagle Creek Trail in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge of Oregon. The falls were named in 1915, by a committee of Mazamas, for Metlako, the Indian goddess of Salmon, likely because of the fact that this waterfall marks the upstream limit to fish who spawn in Eagle Creek. You can't actually get to this fall. Just a window shot from a precarious ledge. I thought the square composition made for a nice window view.
I'm not much of a believer in heaven....if there is a heaven on Earth......then I do believe that I am living in it. I do love the Pacific Northwest. Thank you, Athina.
I did the best with what the little viewing spot gave me. I crossed over the metal fencing & shot right beside a tree. Looking down I could tell I was actually standing on an overhang. Good thing the Earth stayed firm underfoot. Love this trail! Will be making quite a few trips to the gorge next year. Thanks again, Chris.
